Sir Preme is one of the more versatile artists to surface in this modern era of music. A contemporary R&B singer and songwriter who fuses R&B and rap -- Sir Preme was born in Brooklyn NY and raised in NYC until he migrated to Jacksonville FL in 2009.  Sir. Preme is making waves due to his diverse SoundCloud uploads and single releases such as "Pain", "Let Me Know", "Vibes", and "It's Whateva." All four of these songs are now available for streaming and download across all digital platforms.

Born in the greatest city in the world that breeds R&B and hip-hop talent, 22-year-old singer/songwriter/rapper, Sir Preme has emerged from the streets of New York with his own brand of street soul that musically blends the urgency of R&B with Hip Hop music. Reared on the slow jams of Tyrese, R. kelly, Usher, and Chris Brown, Preme realized his talent at a very young age, serenading his female classmates and eventually creating his first recording at a friend’s makeshift home studio in 2014.  “I went over to my man Boski’s house to record this song that he wanted to feature me on, and next thing you know, everyone was talking about it because my other friend, Sef who is a DJ played it at the club. We received such positive feedback for the song, that it made me want to take my music seriously.”

Preme migrated to Jacksonville FL in 2009 after his father accepted a position with a firm. Preme became very popular in school and around town which gave him the idea to become a party promoter. His father always gave him hard time and reminded him that he is wasting his talent and should consider using his popularity to grow an audience for his music. In 2016 Sir Preme went to his father and said “I am ready to do this. If I commit will you support me and manage my career.” From there Preme would start writing to beats that he found on YouTube. He would then lease or buy the beats for his studio sessions, record, get the songs pre-mixed and then upload to SoundCloud. Visions of Bryson Tiller’s quick rise to stardom was always in the back of his head which kept him very motivated.

Finally, the once troubled kid now turned man found his outlet and new high. “I was always so depressed and upset with myself because I knew I wanted more out of life but I hated school and didn’t really have anything I was good at other than being a ladies man lol,” admits Preme. “So I used to smoke weed all day and drink my pain away. That’s why my song “Pain” is so important to me. That song literally changed my life because I felt like it was therapy that released the pain I was feeling. I stopped smoking weed and now only drink occasionally ”. “Ii’s like I stopped self medicating and started self motivating.”  Preme’s narratives are transparent and highly relevant for young Millennials on a mission in either life or love.

On November 11th, 2016, Preme released his biggest track to date, a self-reflective slow burner
entitled “Pain” along with a visual for it. With his ability to switch up from soft and tender R&B to braggadocious rap effortlessly, most feel that Sir Preme will resonate with fans and be around for a very long time.  Preme plans to drop a full length album by Summer of 2017.

As of now, Sir Preme has released 4 singles on November 11th “Pain”, “For The Honey’s”, “It’s Whateva”, and “Let Me Know” to all digital platforms including but not limited to, iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play and Spotify.

Brought together by a passion for music and unity in the face of adversity, Adam’s Attic inspires listeners with an honest and open sound. From their New Orleans roots to their current home of Los Angeles, the alternative, pop/rock band has matured musically and captivated audiences on a global scale. The band of brothers wrapped their fifth international tour in 2014.
“While here (New Orleans), the band proved itself to be one of the rising stars on the scene,” remarked Todd Miller, Talent Buyer for House of Blues.
In August 2005, one of the five deadliest hurricanes in U.S. history struck the north-central Gulf Coast region destroying much of their home in New Orleans. Through the devastation, Adam’s Attic was forced out of its comfort zone and responded by bonding together and stepping out on a limb. Joe Henry, Adam’s Attic front man, said, “Some of us lost everything we had, with the exception of our music gear and some personal items; all of the venues we played were closed or out of business. Only a week before Katrina, we were given the most amazing opportunity to open for Lifehouse at House of Blues New Orleans. We had to act.”
Leaving behind everything they had built in the hopes of recreating past successes, the musicians moved across the country and settled in California. Adam’s Attic had nothing but their gear and souls brimming with emotions.
Relying on each other, they rose to the challenge continually producing positive and inspirational music for fans. The music is written about the experiences of real life. Although we all have struggles, the hard times are merely a trial by fire; perseverance through adversity creates the opportunities for success.
Becoming the first runner up in the KTLA (Los Angeles) Battle of the Bands competition with 955 votes only slightly short of the winning bands 959 votes catapulted Adam’s Attic. The band performed live on the KTLA Morning News for a televised viewership of 3 million plus. With the momentum gained from the KTLA competition, Adam’s Attic was propelled forward with performances and opportunities like Universal City Walk, United Way’s Walk United at Angel Stadium, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, CBS Television, Disney’s Tap Tap Revenge Tour, Yahoo! Music, Reverbnation, etc. Since then, Adam’s Attic made a second, third, and fourth appearance on KTLA Morning News.
Through hard work and personal sacrifice, the independent band knows the meaning of developing a solid marketing strategy and building a strong foundation. The group has seized one success after another by headlining numerous sold out shows at the House of Blues and Hard Rock Cafe, touring five continents, playing for crowds exceeding 11,000, receiving sponsorships in excess of $200,000, and penning at least seventy original songs registered with BMI. With the accumulation of small successes that led to becoming darlings of New Orleans, Adam’s Attic is a rising star in the world market.
This band has proven that it has the elements necessary to make great music, draw large crowds, and entertain fans. Listeners will get an audible experience of what it is like to tour the globe through the lives of the band. Adam’s Attic is seeking: Label Deal, Publishing Deal, Licensing, Film/TV Song Placement, Booking, Festival and College Booking, and Exposure.

Self-confessed dork with a keyboard, Helen Perris, combines the influences of her regional AM radio and musical theatre upbringing with more contemporary sounds. Imagine if Kate Bush and Sia had a musical love child via a Megan Washington surrogate, and you'd have a fairly good idea of her aesthetic.
Helen Perris is proud to forge her own path in the independent music scene in Sydney. Eschewing the major-label model, she has successfully crowd-funded her two EPs and launched her own subscription community (similar to Patreon) to work on her music directly with her fanbase. She has been shortlisted for the 2016 Australian Songwriters Association Contest in two categories, was a finalist in two categories in the 2016 Australian Independent Music Awards, and was named in the National Top 20 (and Top 10 for NSW/NT/QLD/WA) Songwriters for the inaugural Listen Up Australia competition in 2016.
Since launching her solo career in 2011, Helen Perris has shared a stage with Amanda Palmer, Kate Miller-Heidke, Brendan Maclean, Kim Boekbinder and others, and her unique and honest suite of songs have been heard in iconic venues such as The Butterfly Club (Melbourne), The Newsagency (Sydney) and El Rocco's (Sydney), and performed at Peats Ridge Festival, TEDx Canberra and in the world's smallest music venue, Folk in a Box at Sydney Festival.
Perris is currently working on an album with Josh Schuberth of Endomusia Productions, and has released the first two singles, “Mirrors & Windows” and “Be There”.

Helen Perris explores grief and mental illness with new single ‘Be There’

Australian songwriter unveils uplifting piano-driven pop ballad

Available now via a global digital release, ‘Be There’ is the emotive new single from multi-instrumentalist songwriter Helen Perris. Often compared to legendary songwriters Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Ben Folds, her music utilises the powerful female vocals of Amos, the offbeat sensibility of Bush, and the piano driven melodies of Folds to create something uniquely captivating.
The new single comes from a distinctly personal place, written while she was suffering from post-natal depression. It’s simultaneously about finding inner strength and reaching out to those who need support in times of grief and emotional struggle. With a moving film clip produced by One Dream Media, ‘Be There’ is out now and can be heard below:
Prior to its release, the single was named in the National Top 20 in the Listen Up Australia songwriting competition, and is taken from an upcoming album produced by Josh Schuberth of Endomusia Productions. The album’s tracks were written in the wake of Helen’s grandmother's death, while struggling with a bout of post-natal depression as well as anxiety, and throughout her recovery. In spite of these dark influences, her lyrics regularly find hope and joy in life’s small pleasures, and playfully explore the imperfections that make us human.
Music is clearly a lifelong passion for Helen. Since taking to the piano at three years of age, she has taken it upon herself to expand her repertoire to a whole list of instruments including violin, viola, oboe, ukulele, euphonium, guitar, bass guitar and percussion.
Helen uses these talents to craft her music, often bravely putting herself into the lyrics in a strikingly candid fashion. But then, we shouldn’t be surprised – when she was 7 months pregnant, Helen was brave enough to play for a sold out crowd of hundreds plus innumerable people streaming online at TEDx Canberra.
That takes courage, as does laying your soul bare in your lyrics. Thankfully, Helen Perris is willing to do that to create her music.

Born and bred in Manhattan JES knew from an early age that music was her chosen path. She honed her craft working with many of New York’s top producers. However, this award winning singer, songwriter, DJ, producer and label owner wouldn’t find the door to her success until she relocated to Los Angeles. She immersed herself in a new world of music that grew out of a diverse underground scene spreading across the US. As a singer and songwriter she would go on to front some of the most influential songs in the dance music during an era of the mid 2000’s that was transitioning out of the clubs and into the charts.
Looking for a change of direction from NYC’s pop centric music business, JES relocated to LA and found herself working in a Hollywood recording studio. Developing her own songs during late night sessions, she was introduced to a new world of music through the exploding LA Electronic Dance Music scene. One of her first songs from that period was championed by German trance pioneer Paul van Dyk and included on his International mix compilation “Politics of Dancing.” JES’ confessional songwriting and soulful voice left a deep impression on the EDM scene and opened the gate to a flood of collaboration requests. Although no one could have foreseen it, the stage had been set for one of EDM’s most influential songs to arrive.
After meeting SF Bay Area producers Gabriel & Dresden at a club in LA, JES travelled to San Francisco to collaborate with them in their basement studio. During the first session they wrote and recorded a song called “As The Rush Comes.” Released in 2004 under the name Motorcycle, “As The Rush Comes” went on to top charts Internationally. JES’ impassioned writing and vocals proved a key ingredient in the song’s genre blurring sound and it achieved new levels of success for a dance release. JES won the coveted International Dance Music Award for best new artist the following year, as the song gained legendary status worldwide. After meeting Tiesto at an arena show in the United Kingdom, the World #1 DJ personally signed her to his own label, Black Hole Recordings.
A solo career beckoned with the release of the 2007’s artist album “Disconnect.” It generated three Billboard top 20 hits including “Imagination” which reached #1 and stayed on the chart for 45 weeks. JES toured extensively with Tiesto on his groundbreaking “Elements Of Life” tour and collaborated on the accompanying album. "Disconnect" was followed by 2008’s “Into The Dawn,” which featured chill out remixes of some of JES’ most popular works. JES performed at the Beijing Olympics for Coca Cola’s WE8 artist program and was featured on her own specially designed bottle. 2010 saw the release of her next full length artist album “High Glow,” which spawned the radio hit “Awaken”. Her innovative 2011 continuous mix album “Unleash The Beat Vol.1” (the first of a now popular series) lead the way to a one hour weekly radio mix show of the same name that is syndicated worldwide. Collaborations with the worlds leading DJ’s have resulted in a steady stream of hits including tracks and remixes with Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, BT, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold and ATB. JES has received two Grammy nominations and numerous songwriting awards. In 2015 JES launched her own music label called InToneNation Records. The debut release “Hold On,” enjoyed immediate support from some of the biggest names in EDM.

JES Have your self a merry little Christmas ''This Plain Awesome!!!''

Eugene Williams - Biography
Born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey, he was the second child born of eight children. Eugene started playing the guitar at the early age of 4. He later attended East Orange High School. His father, Roscoe Williams, was a member of the gospel group called the Williams Brothers. He noticed that Eugene had a special ability to play the guitar. Roscoe took Eugene to church on Sundays to perform.
During high school, Eugene began playing music with his brothers, as the band leader. As time progressed luck arrived in Eugene’s favor when he met Steve Washington a.k.a. The Fearless Leader, who was a member of the famous group Slave. Slave generated a hit song called Slide during the late 70’s.  Additionally they went on to record; Walking Down The Street Watching Ladies.
Twelve years later, Eugene enrolled for his academic training at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. While pursuing his Associate degree at Berklee, Eugene traveled back home on weekends to perform at shows around local towns, with his brothers. They performed in Broadway theaters throughout New York City. During the 1980’s his father eventually became manager of the group and they traveled to New Zealand and Canada in pursuit of emulating their career, as performers.
During life in New York, Eugene met the owner of Clarence Music who recognized Eugene for his extraordinary talents, which then enveloped into recording sessions. Clarence Music prompted Eugene to embark on a solo career and he accepted under contract, a series of songs that would move him to the next level. Within a short period Eugene then released his first solo ‘Cruising with You’ that rose to the top ten in 2006, and sustained a period of 10 weeks on the international charts.
In 2004 Eugene embarked and was awarded a contract with both Carnival Cruise Lines and Holland Cruise Lines, as an entertainer. It was Eugene’s first global travel experience to see countries and locations that he earlier dreamed of visiting. Over 10 years, he went to countries such as; Canada, The Bahamas, Australia and New Zealand.
Having attained status as an international Singer, Songwriter, Jazz Guitarist and Composer, Eugene met Leroy Green who is the writer of the song Disco Inferno that was performed by the Tramps, an earlier emerging group during the 1980’s.  Further adding to his ongoing interaction with famous individuals and groups within music, Kool & The Gang invited Eugene to become a writer for their material.
Eugene represents a developing generation of great singers, songwriters, performers and entertainers. He is inspired by the genius of The Beatles, AC/DC, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Michael Jackson, George Benson, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Wonder, who are all personal favorites of Eugene.
It's not every day that the music world and music lovers experience a talented sound as diverse as Eugene Williams.

Fire Prince Artist Bio

In rural Hawaii, where the rainforest meets the sea, there is a micro-climate where rock, pop, and singer-songwriter genres spark a fire. Arising from these flames you will find Kai Swigart, the artist Fire Prince. With guitar in hand, he stands in full command of this flammable mixture of styles. His latest single, Our Love Will Find a Way, is another phoenix rising up from his many lives reborn. This sizzling track is a result of the love from a past life reappearing in this one, assimilating his poetic lyrics, gritty vocals, and mellifluous muses from two lifetimes into an ambience of rocking castanets.

Swigart hales from stylish genes infusing musing with musicians, writers, and poets. His sisters and cousins are recognized throughout the playlists and libraries you know and love. From Nat King Cole to Lincoln Park, he and his family sing the songs of soul, sweet love, and circumstance.

In 2015, a reconnection with Rebeccah, his soulmate from another lifetime, was the inspiration for this song. “In truth, death is part of life, and should be celebrated, since another one, hopefully with higher vibrations, will soon follow. When we are fortunate enough to find a love from the past in the present, and share its wisdom, truth, and love again somehow; it can help us realize, with even greater hope, that our love will find a way,” Swigart says.

Swigart teamed up with Grammy-awarded producer Charles Brotman, mixing master Joe Marlett, and a stellar cast of studio artists to record and produce this “Wonder Song.” Among these you will find Evan Marks and Allan Phillips vibing down a Latin court and spark.

It’s been a long and winding road, stretching across 948 years; but these many lifetimes of experiences have made Swigart the singer-songwriter, poet, and spiritualist he is today. Indeed, the flammable mixture of rock, pop, and singer-songwriter styles; with a timeless Latin flair; engage your feet, and the rocking castanets.

As a member of Christside Souljahz, Arick Arqese has spent the last 15 years bringing healing and hope to the streets.  In a youth culture dominated by materialism, exploitative sex, decadent fantasies and artistic redundancy, Christside Souljahz marches to a different drummer.  The scope of their Mission is trained on the Streets and music is the ammunition aimed at the hearts and minds of the youth lost to the ravages of their generation.  A gathering force, bringing the good news of Christ's message of truth, love, healing, hope, restoration, and compassion.  Eloquent in the language of Hip-Hop, Christside Souljahz, has given a positive voice to the hidden aspirations and dreams of youth too long ignored by both the media and orthodox religious tradition.  Like the Pied piper, Christside Souljahz beckons to the young as they follow the call to realize the divine inheritance that "the system" would deny.

As a vital force in the community and in the beleagured world of Hip Hop, these Christside Souljahz's rise to the occasion with lyrics that justify their name.  They don't just rap about hardship and healing, ruthlessness and redemption, their art in effect does something about it.  Arqese aka Wisdom arrives like a hurricane at group homes and juvenile halls to arrest the consciousness of alienated and misguided youth.  They reach the young where they live and lead them to the living Christ, that higher calling latent within us all.  With caring hearts, a rhythmic resonance the youth can identify with and a message that won't quit, the Music Ministry of Christside Souljahz is a last resort for children abandoned to the consequences of history and their own folly.  For the so-called "endangered species" imploding and under attack, this spiritually resourceful music has been known to save lives and heal souls with cross-cultural inspiration.  "Joshua fought the battle of Jericho" and Christside Souljahz along with ICreate Music Group and NewFoundation Productions fights the battle of the mean streets.

John Michael Hersey is a singer/songwriter known for his sophisticated yet accessible melding of rock, pop, folk, blues and country. Hersey is first and foremost a storyteller, one who happens to play a mean guitar.
On his latest album, You Got to Me, Hersey weaves a tapestry of mellow soul, folk-pop, doo-wop, adult alternative and roots rock. He has released five other albums of original material: Soup Du Jour (1999), Whirligig (2003), Mr. Lucky [with Speedo and the Cadillacs] (2004), How Am I Here? (2007), and Adirondack (2014).
Hersey grew up in the small town of Franklinville, NJ where he fronted his first band, Shale. In the 1980s, he moved to New York City and got a job playing guitar with doo-wop legends The Cadillacs, for whom he wrote and produced the album Mr. Lucky. In 1999, he released the album Soup Du Jour with Miles Away, a song about the alienation and loneliness one can feel in the big city. In the 2000s, Hersey began to strut his stuff as a guitarist, forging his own brand of blues on Heartbreak 101 from Whirligig and Running from the Blues from How Am I Here? In 2014, after spending time in prison, he released Adirondack with Sittin’ Pretty, a song about coming home a changed and grateful man.
Hersey’s latest album opens a new chapter, one defined by the redemptive power of love as heard in the title song You Got to Me.
Singer/Songwriter John Michael Hersey offers heartfelt pop-rock collection of love songs on You Got to Me
NEW YORK, NY – September 2016 Hersey releases YOU GOT TO ME a joyful and poignant collection of songs about finding and losing love. It follows up his “raw, hard, observant and thought provoking” 2014 album, ADIRONDACK(review: folkwords.com 5/23/14).
Hersey weaves a tapestry of mellow soul (“You Saved My Life” and “You Got to Me”), folk-pop (“I’m So in Love with You”), doo-wop (“Never Ever”), adult alternative (“Don’t Shy Away”) and roots rock (“Every Time I See You’).
The songs describe love’s arc: the life-changing excitement of falling in love, the gray areas of doubt and difficulty after infatuation is over (“In the Dark” and “It’s Not Black and White”) and anger and heartbreak at the relationship’s demise (“Curtain Call” and “Empty Love”). But love’s return is just a song away (“One on One” and “Falling”)! YOU GOT TO MEis a musical romantic novel with a happy ending (“Yes, I Love You”).
YOU GOT TO ME was written, performed and produced by Hersey with three songs co-written with composer Peter Millrose. He has released five other albums of original material: Soup Du Jour (1999), Whirligig (2003), Mr. Lucky [with Speedo and the Cadillacs] (2004), How Am I Here? (2007), and Adirondack (2014).

Ziggy B, Ziggy Bryant, was always influenced by various styles of music Rap, Old School Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz, Soul, & Rock.  From a young age he was drawn to Andre 3000, someone who would truly make you go back and listen to catch all of his intricate lines.  He and his brother RJ, who also is an artist and producer, would listen to their dad rap and eventually picked up freestyling.  So he started writing around 10 years old, and once everyone took attention to him, began getting serious and recruting his brothers, Bum$quad, to use the blessing they eventually found they all had.
Fat Ray, Ray Lipscomb, has always been a fan of Trap music & Classic Hip Hop found inspiration in his brothers and took to the music scene also. The first hook he wrote was "Use It" immediately showing he deserved the same shine his brothers got. Generally the comic relief, once he took the craft serious he took off running. Doing music with his brothers, Bum$quad, that he had known for several years. He says after that music became more than something to do when him and his brothers was high, it was a way to keep their future bright.
Young Suave, TiiMyr Roberts, was born and raised on the east side of Charlotte, Sandalwood Apartments. Coming from a single parent home, he managed to graduate high school and is now attending college. Hip Hop and music in general have been a big part of his entire life. From his moms love for Reggae and his grandad's love for Old School R&B. He has been rapping since about 10 years old but didn't actually write until the end of middle school. Nothing too serious on a few songs with his bestfriend, Ziggy B. Senior year in high school is when everything got formatted. Told his friends about a group name idea called Bum$quad and everyone took too it. As he got older and experienced more things, he feels that his rapping abilities have increased. He's just tryna make a name for himself, his city, his family, and his brothers. Bum$quad, "Stay up or Lay up".
Bum$quad has a collective sound and each artist in the group carries there own style. There are 5 members in Bum$quad 3 of the 5 rap and one is a rising producer. The three rappers Ziggy B, Fat Ray, Young SuavĂ©  are very lyrical.  They all can put a song together and make it something. Ziggy B and Young SuavĂ© are the eldest out the group. Best friends of 15 years. Both always tried forming a rap group as just little kids on the school bus. After high school graduation these two decided they were going to chase this dream. Decided to recruit the closest friends Fat Ray, Quan, and Travvy. The Rest Is Soon To Be History!

Em Jay was born in Lake Charles LA, the 2nd eldest of four children who all had fathers except him. Mother was more interested in the street life and fast times than raising children thus he's always felt cursed at birth.  Days & Weeks would go by without seeing his mother thus when she passed when he was 5 he went to live to with his grandmother who instilled the Fear of God, Retribution, Sacrifice and offered Order in his Chaos.  Residing by the railroad tracks he envisioned how far he could take them to reach a better life, then his Grandmother died.  His brothers and sisters had fathers so he was taken in by his Aunt who eventually moved to Houston for a better life. During this time is when Em Jay began to bounce around among family and learned from the streets how to be a man...still wanting to get away. Once he made his mind up he finally left because he had nothing, no one to provide for him being that he was living with family, not parents, in a two bedroom home with 8 children two women and he was the only male. He decided that they would be better off if he left to provide for his himself.

East Houston, The Eastside, is where Em Jay cut his teeth, packed his piece and sold them streets while consistently thinking about those rail road tracks and how far from the Million Dollar strip aka Federal Road his true talent could take him. On these streets he became known for his lyrical ability, demeanor and style. It wasn't until he hooked up with Shadow Black of Black House Productions that he finally found the conductor to create the tracks to allow his words, thoughts, emotions and insight to be connected together to move along the rails.

"Dat Funky Hood Sh!T" released in 2006 sold well on the Underground circuit as his wordplay, metaphorical systematic flows meshed his love of Hip Hop, Houston & Hog Legs (yeah you have to ask him about that reference!). His "Coon Dog Niggaz" track is widely played within Underground circles to this day ~ Classic!

During this same time Em Jay was featured on the "Dat Fire" and the "Weed Food & Gas" Compilations all released independently which included tracks by Bun-B & K-Rino to name a few.  Then came along the opportunity which has made Em Jay a household name outside of Houston...InsanAsylum Productions (I.A.P.)

Em Jay joined forces with I.A.P. to create the classic mixtape "Whatchu Talkin Bout VOL I" which blew up as it was a project that squarely placed Em Jay as one of the top MCs of the South not only Houston; it can be heard on Mixcloud.com.  Following the nationwide recognition Em Jay stayed with I.A.P. to create this 2nd studio project "Coon Dog" which is available now and includes the singles "Focus", "Any Nigga"/"Anybody (Radio Edit)" and "No Time Fo' Trippin'" all three different types of vibes and styles further accentuating the finesse with which he holds the chrome.

2016 ~ NOW ~ Em Jay is featured once again on I.A.P.'s "Whatchu Talkin' Bout VOL II" mixtape and is currently working on his 3rd Studio Project which will include collabs with Montega Brix, E-Dawg, Psyco Sid, Sax Player Kyle Turner, Bassist Funky Fingas and others plus completing a Hip Hop remix of Flutist Ragan Whitside's "Funkuation" to feature E-Dawg as well.

Em Jay is now the conductor of the engine that pulls the cargo through tracks to destinations that make Amtrak jealous.  Jump on board, the train has left the station.
