His new Album is undoubtedly reality rap, music that everybody in any situation can vibe to. The sharp lyrics about his real experiences remind all us to stay driven and be the best without jeopardizing your character. “ By The Code” enlightens audiences on a gut level, finding a common ground in experiences that everyone and anyone can identify with. Wes began experimenting with music in 2002 when he and his childhood friend, Drego dropped their first album titled, Rap Hustlers. He then took a hiatus from music but from time to time being featured on his friends tracks. Although he wasn’t officially dropping solo projects, he was still writing and putting songs together, growing his musical vault. In 2009 he realized that rap was his true passion, a few eye awakening experiences also prompted him to change his direction in life. Now really focusing on writing and recording songs, He says “after recording in a real studio,” is when he truly felt his dreams coming to actualization. Soon came his first official mixtape, “ Western Union- Fastest Way to Get Money Vol 1.” Ultimately linking up with a heavy hitter in the Music Video Industry , Jordan Towers, filming videos around the globe. Always being the one to pave the way for his own greatness, Wes ventured into show promotions, throwing his own shows to generate income from his music. He found a knack for this and began hosting shows bringing well known Hip Hop Artists to the panhandle. Naturally Wes was drawn back to the booth and collabed again with his partner Drego and dropped “FLA2GA”. Soon after, he started working on another solo project the “ BP Re-Up”. At this time the Gulf Coast had been heavily affected by the oil spill and he was forced to broaden his promotional shows to different areas in the south. He then began booking city to city tours hitting the stage with artists such as Ace Hood, Rocko, and Young Dro. From this tour spawned his hit singles “ Rock and Roll and Bleed the Block”. Promoting began to really overshadow his initial dream, which was making music so he changed directions once again. During his hiatus he attained his college degree and successfully started a few businesses one being building his own studio and starting his own label, Last of the Mo Records. As to be expected this drove him back to his true found passion of music which has lead us to his newly anticipated album “By the Code”. Being independent has given me the freedom to be myself and to make the music exactly the way I want to make it,” he declares. “The songwriting is far more detailed, and that was reflected in how I recorded. We recorded twenty-five songs, and I picked eleven.” “By the Code” is not your typical rap album, it is an experience.Wes Krave is releasing his music precisely the way he’s always wanted, creating a fully realized album that is the culmination of where he’s been and where he’s going, and one that is sure to win him the notoriety that is demanded by the legitimacy and quality of his songs.
