Independent songwriter and recording artist, Deyvon aka Deyvon Songwriter was born as Derek Rawlings Jr. in Bronx, New York. Raised by a single mother, with the help of his grandmother, he quickly developed an appreciation for music that has carried him from what could have been a bleak future on the streets into a promising career.
Falling in love with hip hop by the age of ten, Deyvon was influenced by such megastars as Biggie Smalls, Tupac Shakur, Michael Jackson, Ice Cube and DMX.
