Where are you from and could you tell us about your upbringing?   I’m from Birmingham, AL.  I was raised by a single mother, and I had an amazing upbringing.  There was never a dull moment with my mom.  We went on movie dates and traveled a lot.  Early in life, I had a strong sense of community and family.  Although I am an only child, my family is huge and very close.  My maternal grandmother is 1 of 13 children.  We always gathered for special family events and holidays.  In fact, we still do.  The love was immense and I felt it.  As a kid, I started singing in church, talent shows and subsequently joined show choir.  My love for performance was solidified.   So tell us about your project!     What is the concept behind your music and the message it conveys? The concept behind the music for this project is to entertain while provoking thought.  The message it conveys for the most part is treat yourself with value.  Don't let others determine your value because you yourself determine your value.  Do you find yourself growing as a recording artist? Explain I do find myself growing as a recording artist.  I feel like growth is part of all aspects of our lives.  And this project is the perfect example of growth because usually I'm a very cerebral artist.  I allowed myself to go with the feel of the songs more than I normally do on this project. Do you find yourself growing as a recording artist? Explain My favorite experience musically in recent times is learning more about all aspects of music creation including writing, producing, mixing and mastering.  That's almost alway...

  So tell us about your project!  What is the concept behind your music and the message it conveys?      My project is an album of pop music about relationships, called "I'm Lookin' at You."  Solme of the songs are upbeat and happy ("I'm Lookin' at You," "You Make Me Happy," "Unconditionally," "Celebrate the Sun," and "We Must Have Angels Up Above"), whereas others are more thoughtful ("Throwin' Our Love Away," "Love Transcends," "I Won't Give Up On You, "You Live In Me," and "The Smallest Act of Kindness." Do you find yourself growing as a recording artist? Explain      I am actually a songwriter, and not really a recording artist, but my songs continue to grow in depth and accessibility.  I am also writing in several genres besides pop: country, rock, sacred, and easy listening retro jazz. What is your favorite experience musically in  recent times?        ...

  So tell us about your project!  What is the concept behind your music and the message it conveys? I call myself a Recording Artist, because that is my comfort zone...Not performing. I began record production in 2016...down the years I primarily just wrote short stories and poems which sometimes became songs. One day I woke up with a very strong inclination to get back into producing songs...something I shelved a long time ago..and being someone who will have an itch and then immediately scratch...that is what I did.And re-produced an old song I write "Only One Star In My Life" Do you find yourself growing as a recording artist? Explain When I first began it was all about writing song and producing them for my best friend, but writing songs for someone takes me out of character, as i have to tailor the song to fit their truth. And I soon realized I was neglecting myself, and for my birthday 2018...on a whim, I wrote a song 100% based on my truth ...
