Kali Jani is #Flyah

What makes a new artist rise above the rest? If you ask singer/songwriter Kali Jani she will tell you it is quite simple, “An unwavering belief in one’s self and an unfaltering commitment to making it to the top.”
So who is Kali Jani?
She’s a hot new singer on the scene out of Orlando, Florida, set to release her debut single Permission to Go, a lyrics driven track with a hot mixture of pop and urban flavor.
Born Simone Farrell in Boston Massachusetts, she grew-up in Poinciana, Florida. A graduate of Liberty High School, she continued her education and earned a BA in Criminology from the University of South Florida, in 2012.
The stage name Kali Jani has significant meaning. Kali means lively and fierce, while Jani translates into God has answered. Jani believes that now is her time.
“For so long I did everything that I thought I was supposed to do, things that everyone else wanted me to do,” she says.
Following this path never seemed right for her and she constantly doubted her purpose. “It was like, yes, I did well in school, I got the degree, but am I happy?” She asked herself over and over again. Finally she had to step back and reassess her life. In the end she had to do what made her happy, and that thing is singing.
A born performer destined for greatness is how she sees herself. She began singing at age five and dancing at age ten. Confidence builders that give her an advantage in a crowded industry. Jani has never been shy and contributes her strong stage presence to competitive dancing from middle school through college.
Armed with the gift of songwriting, her insatiable desire to pen songs that people can relate to in dealing with their own life situations, has guided her craft. She is motivated to write by her own experiences, sharing that it is therapeutic to write about whatever she’s going through at the moment.
So what does she do with the material she’s written? Interstate-4, the corridor that connects Orlando to Tampa, has become her road to success. Of late, she can be found putting in the work at the Red Lounge Studio, recording songs for her much anticipated CD. When not recording, Jani is building her presence and brand, and generating excitement for her upcoming release.
“I have to set myself apart from everyone else, and not fall into the trap of producing gimmicks instead of great music.” Jani is focused and taking the right path. She gets that she has to have something extra that will make people want to hear her sound and want her product.
She’s well on her way. The industry is already scoping out her work and providing positive feedback—from requests for her demo and offers to do vocals for other artist.
When asked who has inspired her the most, the answer is quick, Whitney Houston.
“She mastered her voice, it is amazing.” begins Jani. Her energy level increases as she talks about the late megastar. “Not a lot of people today study their craft, but she (Houston) had full knowledge of the industry. I want to follow her steps in terms of being business savvy and on top of my game.”
Jani knows being an overnight success is a long shot, so she doesn’t mind being patient. Her motivation and drive will take her where she needs to be. “I’m not going to give up…ever,” says the budding artist, adding, “Roadblocks and struggles will come, but that will only make me stronger, and the reward sweeter.”
If she had to give advice to anyone wanting to get into the industry, her mantra is, do whatever your heart desires and stick with it.
Jani’s friends would all agree, she’s talented, passionate, and if you catch her on the right day, she can be downright goofy. If you want to connect with this up and coming blossoming artist, you can connect with her on most social media platforms under the name Kali Jani.

CHECK OUT GEM - FLYAH EXLUSIVE INTERVIEW

GEM is to headline the Los Angeles Power Women Summit in December, bringing this new style of medical-music to the masses. She has been able to make use of her time in isolation: perfecting her EP, creating a YouTube channel and working on a plethora of collaborations with other global artists. The new single, If I’m Honest, is arguably the first of its kind. It has been specifically produced in the key of B. The musical note B is associated with the crown chakra, the 7th chakras in the Buddhist tantric system. Buddhists believe that by listening to music in this key, corresponding to the crown chakra, it can heal and awaken the listener, helping to release stored negative energy and energetic blockages in the body. WE HAD THE CHANCE TO CATCH UP WITH GEM READ WHAT SHE HAD TO SAY!   How long have you been doing music and where you find the inspiration? Music has always been a part of my life, although being visible in the producers chair has been a natural progression over the past 4 ye

Michael Coleman Is back with another Anthem!

WE HAD A CHANCE TO CATCH UP WITH MICHAEL COLEMAN, READ WHAT HE HAD TO SAY ABOUT HIS MUSICAL JOURNEY!   Michael Coleman, where are you from and what's it like in your hometown and how did you get the nickname "The Metropolitan Cowboy"?   I was actually born and raised in San Diego, California.  San Diego is just an awesome town although like everywhere else in California, it costs a fortune to live there.  My nickname, “The Metropolitan Cowboy” actually comes from a television project I was doing a few year’s back. I wrote and produced an adult-oriented sketch comedy show and since I was always dressed with a cowboy hat on and looked metrosexual we decided that should be the name of the show and my brand and I have been called that ever since.   How long have you been songwriting and where do you find the inspiration?   I’ve been writing since I was a kid, however I didn’t decide to take it seriously until I had a milestone birthday , I won’t tell you which one and it wa
