Cassie Kennedy is a 16 year old singer song writer from Dublin, Ireland.  She has just released her debut album 'Inside the Snow Globe', produced by David Hayes, musical director of 'The Voice' in Ireland. She launched her album at the top music venue  'The Grand Social' in Dublin,  to a packed audience and is the youngest ever performer to hold a Friday night gig at the 'Grand Social'. Her album has been played on radio all over Europe and the United States and she is building a large fan base who love the combination of an amazing voice and clever lyrics. Her fans range from 8 to 80 and while her music fits into the pop genre she also has a 'country pop' influence in several songs.
She has written all the material for her second album and will be heading into the recording studio soon with a release date in early 2015.
The debut album 'Inside the Snow Globe' by Cassie Kennedy is receiving rave reviews in Dublin, Ireland where it was launched in May. Written by a sixteen year old school girl and produced by David Hayes, musical director of 'The Voice' in Ireland, it is a concept album which takes the listener on a musical journey.  The album cover shows a wistful Cassie inside her 'snow globe' set in a magical forest.  The back cover reveals a broken globe and a very different Cassie heading into a city nighscape with a guitar by her side and her songs illustrated in neon.
The first songs are set inside the snow globe and are beautiful up tempo pop and country influenced.  The fifth song 'Snow Globe' is a catchy dance number which describes the typical life of a teenager in her own world and then the globe shatters. What follows are the achingly beautiful 'Broken', and then three songs which will resonate with many teenagers 'Fine', 'Heart Open' and 'Let It Go'.  By 'Innocent Me' the mood has altered again and the album ends in 'Yours' a superb love song.
It is an extraordinary piece of creative musical writing which has been mixed and mastered by the leading industry team in Ireland. David Hayes is well known in Irish music circles and he has uncovered an outstanding musical talent who combines both songwriting skill and vocal ability with a wonderful assured stage presence. Cassie Kennedy is the find of the year and she has already written all the material for her second album which is also being produced by David Hayes. It is very hard to believe she is only sixteen and she has a very bright musical career ahead of her.

Michelle Rose Exclusive Interview

Q:  What's it like growing up in Mpls?   Does the city have interesting stories about Prince?     A:  I only lived in Minneapolis until I was three, but I have fond memories of it.  Even now that I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, I still feel like I'm a part of Minneapolis.  I think a lot of Minnesotans have "Minneapolis Pride", even if they don't live in Minneapolis.  Minneapolis has so many fun things to see and do, and the arts are very important here, with so many theaters and live shows.     Prince put us on the map for music.  I hear Prince stories everywhere I go in Minnesota.  I've met so many people who were associated with Prince, including one of his dancers, and even a former Paisley Park employee working as a cashier at the local grocery store, so I've heard many Prince stories.  I wish I could've been a Chanhassen resident when Prince was still alive, because I know that many Chanhassen residents saw him casually riding his bike around

Den Edie Flyah interveiw

Den Edie Flyah interveiw So could you tell us a little bit about your upbringing in Ohio?  I was sent to guitar leasons by my parents when I was 10 years old. My uncle lived with us back in    Ohio then and he played the drums. I grew up with a Rock band practicing in my basement.    I did not know it at the time but this little town I lived in knew how to rock. When did music become your main interest and what lead you to take music so seriously?   When I was 13 I saw my first rock concert. It was The kinks (one for the road tour.)    It changed me instantly. Suddenly that was the only thing I wanted to do.    To this day I'm still doing it. My guitar obsession had just started and    I did take some music theory lessons as well. I began learning how to create music or write a song.    I recently worked with two clasical Violinist. A Saxsaphone player and a Pianist. The Music theory lessons did pay off as I was able to talk to them in a launguage they understood.  Being a Singer
