Piqued Jacks rock n roll #Flyah

Piqued Jacks describe their sound in their own words: “being able to speak without impediment; having sex in the most intense way possible; expressing ourselves 100%”. You have to hear it to experience it for yourself.
Piqued Jacks are brave souls. Rising from a small village in Italy, they have methodically made their way from obscurity to Austin, the heart of the indie music scene, performing 2 showcases at SXSW 2013. Their powerful alliance and headstrong vision has resulted in rapid success and the positive flow of their career indicates a confident band gaining serious momentum.
Back in 2006, the Piqued Jacks were anything but serious. They causally acquired the band name after someone drops a bass during rehearsal. The damaged jack resembled an erect penis and the boys felt the sexual allusion suited their sound. A few years later, something clicked, a unified connection to the music making process, and from 2010 to 2011 they released two EP’s, conquering Italian airwaves such as Rai 1, Radio Rai 1 and Mediaset Italia 2.
Sensing something brewing by July of 2012, the boys hunkered down in an old house in the Tuscan countryside with graphic designer comrade and roadie brother BlackLimo. This spiritual retreat allowed them to break down musical barriers and demo songs for a new EP.
In August of 2012, after contacting Grammy Nominated producer Brian Lanese and being invited to come and record their EP with him, the band began their American odyssey, landing in a hotel by the Hollywood Chinese Theater. They recorded 6 songs at breakneck speed. The resulting EP is titled Just a Machine; a moody and muscular record with flickering funk guitar mingling with carnal rock.
After acquiring a manager shortly after, they decided to move the entire outfit from Italy to Austin, TX and are now all officially Austin transplants. The move has only made their conviction stronger and their camaraderie is palpable in both their new EP and their live show. This talented band of brothers seem to scream “this is not your usual attention seeking group of young men” as there are no hidden agendas or rivalries between them. They know the strength of their sound and brand is born from their powerful friendship.

Michelle Rose Exclusive Interview

Q:  What's it like growing up in Mpls?   Does the city have interesting stories about Prince?     A:  I only lived in Minneapolis until I was three, but I have fond memories of it.  Even now that I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, I still feel like I'm a part of Minneapolis.  I think a lot of Minnesotans have "Minneapolis Pride", even if they don't live in Minneapolis.  Minneapolis has so many fun things to see and do, and the arts are very important here, with so many theaters and live shows.     Prince put us on the map for music.  I hear Prince stories everywhere I go in Minnesota.  I've met so many people who were associated with Prince, including one of his dancers, and even a former Paisley Park employee working as a cashier at the local grocery store, so I've heard many Prince stories.  I wish I could've been a Chanhassen resident when Prince was still alive, because I know that many Chanhassen residents saw him casually riding his bike around

Den Edie Flyah interveiw

Den Edie Flyah interveiw So could you tell us a little bit about your upbringing in Ohio?  I was sent to guitar leasons by my parents when I was 10 years old. My uncle lived with us back in    Ohio then and he played the drums. I grew up with a Rock band practicing in my basement.    I did not know it at the time but this little town I lived in knew how to rock. When did music become your main interest and what lead you to take music so seriously?   When I was 13 I saw my first rock concert. It was The kinks (one for the road tour.)    It changed me instantly. Suddenly that was the only thing I wanted to do.    To this day I'm still doing it. My guitar obsession had just started and    I did take some music theory lessons as well. I began learning how to create music or write a song.    I recently worked with two clasical Violinist. A Saxsaphone player and a Pianist. The Music theory lessons did pay off as I was able to talk to them in a launguage they understood.  Being a Singer
