The Royal Dragoneers - Who will win the War?? #Flyah Book Review

The Royal Dragoneers starts off with a thrilling scene of a young hunter stalking a wounded stag. The hunter is training to be a King's Ranger. The stag had been in many battles and the hunter was prepared to win, and he did. Unexpectedly, the hunter becomes the hunted. Like all that's in the food chain, easy spoils are a desired token. Everyone was after the deer: the hunter, dragons, and trolls. I was very impressed with the way the author brings about detail and leads the reader on a path of excitement. By the end of chapter one, the reader should be left in a state of shock and confusion which will make them come back for more. The author will have the reader wondering how could something like death be at the main character's door step so early in the book. Characters like ogres, trolls, goblins, and talking dragons bring out the fiction and interesting side of this book. The protagonist, Jenka is brave and timid at the same time, which makes me believe he is an introvert that really thinks before he makes a move. Sometimes in life, one can be afraid of the reaction of another person, so they will be cautious about the things that they do. King Blanchard seems to be an antagonist who relies on bad thoughts about dragons and is afraid of the unknown forcing him make decisions based on theories and rumors. The king is blinded and he believes that humans are superior. By having these thoughts, he does not hesitate to move into other territories, which belongs to the trolls. He also acts thickheaded and driven by rage causing him to have poor relationships with the main characters. The humans, the trolls, and the dragons have been enemies for many years, but in this book there will be an alliance like no other. The war is bound to breakout and denial cannot be a factor in the current situation. Jenka talks to one of the dragons in the first chapter. Even if he tells the King or his men about his encounter with the dragon, they will not believe him or even believe that dragons can talk. This rules out the fact that Zahrellion knows about the future war. Zah has spoken with a dragon in the past, which warned her about the war between humans and the trolls. Jenka appears to have feelings for Zah, and I thought about how common it is growing up catching feelings for another person.

When I first read the setting about the wilderness, I thought about a mid 1990s movie Dragonheart, which had so many elements similar to those found in this book: talking dragons, wilderness, an impulsive king, and a protagonist training to be a King’s Ranger. While Jenka wanted to be a King’s Ranger, he eventually started having second thoughts about his destiny. We all have a destiny and it may not necessarily be what we think it is. In this story, Zah and Jenka are believed to be on a specific destiny based on their ability to talk to dragons. Reading about the people inhabiting the trolls’ territory made me think about population growth in today’s society, and how it has been an issue for animals not having a place to live due to more development. Where I live for example, which is central Virginia, there is plenty of housing development taking place, but animals such as bears and bobcats have been appearing in residential areas. This is because they have been forced out of their habitat. It is hard to believe these animals are more likely to be seen in a neighborhood today. If I had to rate this book on a scale, I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. In the first few chapters, the reader will get an idea of the overall story plot, and can follow along finding evidence and detail to support what the first few chapters revealed. My rating is based on insights and foreshadowing.

Morrow's Memory - Flyah Review

 morrowsmemory220

Lyrics and melodies with an elusive sound; Morrow’s Memory, a band introducing Joe Wolford on lead guitar, Zach Novak on drums with percussion and lead vocalist, Tony Fitchett were forged in the Metro-Detroit area of Michigan. They have been making projects since 2009 and still going strong.

On their EP, "Take Control" which was released on July 24th of this year, Morrow's Memory start off the piece by the first track called, "Bloodlust". The guitars open softly until banging of the drums come in before an early guitar solo. Kind of reminds me of a werewolf readying its fangs to bite into anything it can find for the dawning of the moonlight. The lyrics entices into tearing into the flesh and making someone suffer. "Bloodlust" is a theme of a thirst for gaining power and control as one will not stop until the job is done. On the second song, "Ones and Zeros", Morrow's Memory illustrates a picture of the paranormal; in this case, The lyrics are a metaphor about relationships of people burning bridges to get ahead but in the long run that person is losing sight of what's really important and that is to not be consumed by money and greed. The guitar riff comes off nicely and the drums and snares are kept at a constant.

The song that I felt very interesting to listen to is "For You''.  The song in deep detail is about conquering your inner demon that could be summed up as a love/hate relationship. The lyrics bring a intuitive view of how someone can withstand treatment as bad as it could possibly get but still have the heart to not give up. I felt that after listening to the track, how sweet it was to feel good after
hearing something that touches the ears and at the same time show that this group above all needs to be part of the industry to join the likes of Metallica, Rob Zombie, Led Zepplin and Ozzy Osborune and so forth. The other two songs "Sapphire" & ''Find My Own Way" both embody the essence of the three aforementioned songs. From taking a step back and really looking at how the project was made; I realize that this group was well put together and they deserve to be recognized as iconic in the near future. If I had to rate, Take Control", I'd give it an  8 out of 10 for creativity, being metaphorically honest, and a great band that has more in the tank, believe me.

Cody Webb Gfted and Awesome

When hearing country music I look for a calming and inspiring feeling that no other genre can supply.  The mood has to be joyous and uplifting in way that will send you off into a deep daydream.  I have been pushing this review off for a couple of days but now I seriously regret that.  Cody Webb has the gift of word play in his Country love song More than a little.  He's a very special entertainer from South Carolina that has the talent of not only singing with great range but he also plays the guitar like ''no ones business''.  This song touches your heart from the first note and reminds of great artist such as Tim McGraw.  Up to this day I had never heard of Cody Webb, but after hearing his song Im sure he will have a lasting effect on anybody that gives his music a spin.

As the guitar strums in the intro of this song I was not sure of what to expect.  It kind of had a rock n roll feel be his supreme Southern Voice blends the two genres very well.  This is not so common in Country music and definitely deserves praise.  The following words ''Im gonna turn you porch into a dance floor tonight'' leads on a path of excitement and increases the hunger for more of this nirvana.   I noticed when this video was released, and I have to say that he couldn't have picked a better time of the year. I guess Im more than little in love with this chorus also. It has a great rhythm, its very catchy and the way he makes its profound it surely will move a crowd.  If I had to rate this song I would give it a 4 out of 5 for composition, Hit potential, and pizazz.  Give this song a listen and comment and let us know what you think
