Meresha - Game of Video #Flyah Submission
Meresha is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and Producer. She is an #AlienPop innovator.
With a deep, wide-ranging soulful voice and a quirky sonic vision, Meresha has made Billboard charts 7 times.
Her current single is "Game of Video".
As regards whether life is a “‘Game of Video”, even Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk famously said that we may all be living in a simulation.
So far most Meresha fans agree. Here’s the Facebook survey she is running on the topic.
"Game of Video" is, as usual, not average pop or electronic/dance music. It is #AlienPop, a space which so occupies alone. Alien Pop in the sense that it is sort of like Pop music, but somehow different, a bit out of this world.
Meresha loves Björk and British electronic artists like James Blake (as well as Jimi Hendrix & Led Zeppelin), and a wide range of great music influences her sound.
Not surpisingly “Game of Video” sounds diffferent.
Meresha’s earlier EP was “Enter the Dreamland” EP. Three songs are included her from that ("Enter the Dreamland", "Lights Out" and "Violet Night (Z mix)" ). The EP lead to several Billboard/iTunes/Amazon chart placements, video awards and a slot playing with Jon Bellion and Marshmello for 40,000 at SunFest. The Palm Beach Post wrote about her as a highlight of the festival ahead of 40 big stars. AllMusic named it a Top 20 album for the year globally together with names like Lorde, Demi Lovato, Calvin Harris, etc.
Meresha’s debut commercial EP was “New Revolution”, which lead to her being the #1 Indie artist on US commercial radio for a month, and winning MTV’s the Freshman competition. She performed music from the EP live sharing the stage with artists such as Adam Lambert (also Queen) and Third Eye Blind. AllMusic named Meresha's EP "Enter the Dreamland" one of the Top 20 Pop Albums of 2017 globally (Pop). The video for the lead song won the Music California Viewers Choice Award, while Meresha landed at #3 on Billboard's Next Big Chart chart globally. 3 songs from the EP are included here ("Enter the Dreamland", "Lights Out" and "Violet Night (Z mix)" )
