Alla P. Gakuba's short stories are lengthy and full of information whether from historical periods to relate to current times. The twenty short stories detail infamous events such as Napoleon's rise and fall to American women receiving rights to vote. Another of the short stories was about Maslow's Theory describing the five steps of life and achievements. This book is inspiring and gives insight into the mentality of many great people who contributed to society, helped others in times of need and become more self-aware.

Alla talked about her time as a engineer being changed from constructing buildings to bridges with no guidance given to her. Even after transferring from Africa to U.S.A. for an engineering job, Alla was puzzled that she earned the job but she strive to achieve her goals. In life, dedication can be the breaking point of a successful venture and a reflection of the steps taken to get there. Alla also theorizes about a time that women felt uncomfortable in a hostile environment. Dissertations were to be given to make new ideas and various other women were directed to other doctoral programs. The most interesting short story to me is about the millionaires. Hearing about the concepts from old time to new in how millionaires were made was fascinating; the growth of American innovations and ideas transformed the country in tremendous ways and the number of millionaires increased as the years came. If i had to rate Alla P. Gakuba's books on A PERSON IS A PRODUCT OF TIME, PLACE, AND CIRCUMSTANCES, i'll give it a 9 out of 10 for insight on an intelligent and inspiring level, precise wording and a great archive of information to make anyone interested to read.
