Location: Nashville, TN, USA Biography:
In a world where much of rock has lost its passion in a soulless sterility of studio smoke and mirrors comes BREE - a 22-year-old Christian cult castaway from Harrisburg, Oregon (her father threw her out at 17) who discovered the truth the first time she plugged into a Gibson Flying V and cranked up a vintage Marshall amp.

BREE met drummer/manager David J Castello on her 21st birthday (07/22/10) in Palm Springs, California and by the summer of 2011 they'd made their way to Nashville where they met stand-up bassist Mayrk McNeely performing with his band at the Whisky Bent Saloon.

BREE’s video for her first single WHISKY rocked the house in Nashville where it was filmed in the grand ballroom of the historic Smith House at The Standard (built 1845).

Directed by Marcel, recorded at the House of Blues/Anarchy Studios and produced by Bob Ezrin's crack engineer Justin Cortelyou, Whisky was written by BREE and features her on vocals and guitar, Mayrk McNeely on standup bass and David J Castello on drums. BREE’s music is uniquely her own and inspired by classic influences ranging from Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran and Patsy Cline to The Beatles, The Who and Humble Pie. BREE

Traycee Lynn
Webpage: http://www.myspace.com/trayceelynn
Location: Philadelphia, PA, USA Biography:
Skillfully fusing hip-hop and soul, Traycee Lynn is an engaging artist that moves the crowd to head nods and tears. Philadelphia-based and self described as the hip-hop songstress, Lynn has been writing since she was eight years old. A prodigy on the horizon, at the tender age of 8, Lynn would create hip-hop rhythms and verses while beating rhythms on tables, windows, and walls - a "tomboy hobby" she picked up from her older brother. She would later develop a knack for songwriting through her soprano and alto roles in her hometown church in Harrisburg, PA. After attending Temple University, Lynn stayed in Philadelphia and was mentored and nurtured artisitically by witnessing the Black Lily arts movement. With no formal training, she started her own newspaper, Writer Blocks, for independent artists and writers. The newspaper was formed out of her own passion for music, writing and understanding of the struggles of marketing for independent artists. It would later form powerful connections through icon interviews with signed and unsigned artists and become a promotional vehicle for Lynn and the rest of the underground arts scene in Philadelphia. In 2006, Lynn decided to put the newspaper on hiatus and delve into her own artistry more seriously. She had over 50 songs and a dozen beats (ranging from hip-hop to song) that she had been writing and composing since she began the newspaper, and was inspired by some of the interviews she had conducted to team up with local artists and musicians to manifest her first "serious project" titled THE AWAKENING (released in 2006). It was instantly accepted overseas and heralded as "organic soul with an edge" by London's Soul Brother Records. The leading track from the album, MUSIC OF MY MIND, was written and produced by Lynn in 2004. She had just begun learning major chords and composed the music at Tainted Lab Studios (now Control Tracks) during a frustrating time when Lynn was silenced by her wisdom teeth being removed. She co-produced the rest of the project with Dap Stallion Productions, a local production team that assisted Lynn with music arrangement for some of the album. Although her catalog has diverse sound, Lynn says she feels most kinship with hip-hop, "I'm a child of hip-hop, 80s feel-good music, and Madonna-pop" says Lynn, who is still charged and currently working on a few multi-media projects and collaborations. Her next album will be out in 2008. Traycee Lynn

Eric Lee songs are the epitome of country music. His songs range from down right foot stompin’, line dancing, full out country to country ballads that make you want to cuddle up close with your loved one. Eric Lee
Biography:
Eric Lee debut CD “Southern Redneck” gets rave reviews!

Eric Lee started playing guitar at the age of 13. He grew up listening to bluegrass and had always lived the life of a country boy. At 18, he joined the military where he joined his first band. He has played with several bands on and off over the next few years but decided that solo is the right direction to take. He has recorded with Larry Marrs (bassist for Marty Stewart) and Dennis Wage (Pianist for T.Graham Brown).

Eric Lee songs are the epitome of country music. His songs range from down right foot stompin’, line dancing, full out country to country ballads that make you want to cuddle up close with your loved one. Everything about him and his music are light hearted (or he makes it sound that way) and easy on the ears and brings joy to your heart.

Three particular songs are a clear representation of the diverse and versatility of this country crooner. Songs such as “Small Town Ways”, “Ordinary Places” and “When It Comes to Lovin’” truly show off his innate talents each with their own unique flavor. Eric is a consummate storyteller and fans love that part of his music.

“Small Town Ways” is about simple living in rural America. It starts out with that famous up-tempo piano introduction that makes you want to grab your girl and give it a whirl on the dance floor. It has an insatiable dance rhythm that makes your heart kick up a beat

. “Ordinary Places” “is about basic everyday living that we all take for granted”, states Eric. This song is a ballad with that country flare. His vocals are crisp and truly unique. The melody and rhythm of this song is beautiful.

“When It Comes To Lovin” is about a person that gives up on love because he cannot seem to find the right person and is skittish to try it again. This songs show fans a different edge to Eric’s music. He has a tale to tell. Like a storybook you pay just a little more attention to the words, like a great novel.

Eric Lee is planning a South Regional tour starting in the fall of 2012. There is also an Autism Benefit Concert in West Virginia on October 13 that he will be playing at.

“Just your everyday guy that believes hard work and doing what’s right is most important. Stay who you are”.

The Vinyl Plane

The Vinyl Plane
Webpage: http://www.thevinylplane.com/
Location: Uniondale, NY, US Description:
The Vinyl Plane is a rock band; five talented musicians with a distinct “throwback” sound. Some call it southern fried blues?rock, with a dash of Neil Young, a slice of Humble Pie, a sniff of Joe Walsh, some cargo from the Drive?By Truckers and benea The Vinyl Plane
Biography:
Dave Seubert is the singer and harmonica player. Dave played in acoustic and electric bands in college and enjoyed it so much; he left school to pursue a career in music. He was in a band called “Unmarked” when Keith’s brother Sean introduced him to Keith Obenauer in September of 2006. Unmarked was falling apart and Keith had some great songs Dave couldn’t wait to write some lyrics for. Two months later, Dave and Keith started The Headie Berrie as a four piece band. When the band had some woes, they decided it was time to shake things up and add another guitar. Keith's brother, Sean Obenauer, was an obvious choice. Dave had heard him playing guitar and asked him if he would join the band because he had great chops. Joe Giani had played bass guitar in many bands before, but was looking for something different. Joe is a very talented musician and is essential to the fine tuning of the band's music. The band's named changed to The Vinyl Plane, upon the addition of Joe. After many failed attempts to find it, they still needed that final piece of the puzzle. They found it in Steve Mazz, the drummer. Steve, had been a good friend of the band and happened to have some time in his busy drum schedule to come down for an audition. The minute he started playing, the other band members knew that their long, exhaustive search for the right drummer had ended. Apparently, Steve's search was over too, because he dropped all his other bands for, what he called "what I've been looking for:"- The Vinyl Plane. The Vinyl Plane

“People like to complain about the current state of music ... how it's going techno (...since the 80's...), or how shallow it's become (...not that the Archies were any better...) or how it's all alt rockish where nobody can play their instruments (...Little Richard has confessed to only being able to play in one key...). For the nostalgic, what happened to the line of development stemming from 70's classic rock? Where's the real blues players & not just guitarists who play blues scales? Where's the music that follows the influence of the Black Crowes instead of Nirvana or Lynard Skynard instead of Black Sabbath? Is there a band out there that has keyboard breaks that aren't meandering lost in classically influenced prog tunnels? Well, if any of the above is on your to find list then you'll enjoy this little EP.” Aaron Joy - Roman Midnight Music
“The Vinyl Plane are a bunch of indie rockers from Uniondale, New York with a psychadelic/Southern rock sound. The lads have 2 albums and an EP just out. I’m digging their groove and their Twitter feed is hilarious, especially the alternate definitions for T.V.P. (“Turbulent Vision Premonitions”…good one!). You can check them out on MySpace and catch them live if you’re in Hicksville on April 23rd. Wait, is that really a place? ” Christine (Sticketgiant.com) - StickerGiant's Blog of Stickers.
“Fortune is smiling on the Vinyl Plane in 2010. “Alcyon Playground,” one of the three bonus tracks added to this Long Island quintet’s second album, blends soaring harmonic guitars, great singing and tight playing from one of New York’s hottest young bands. The group has already written seven new tracks for their third album, to be released this fall. www.myspace.com/thevinylplane” Relix Radio - Relix Magazine
“(DISCLAIMER: T.V.P. WAS FORMERLY CALLED THE HEADIE BERRIE) Long Island quintet The Headie Berrie return with a freewheeling full-length follow-up to their recent four-song EP. "Morning Toast" further fleshes out their love of hardened jam rock with an emphasis on guitar heroics and vocal histrionics, playing the riffs like they own them (even if Hendrix and Clapton really do) while implementing the harmonica in key spots with the attitude that the love is still free and the drugs are still pure believed by all. Referencing everyone from Phish to Blues Traveler to Mother Love Bone ("Musicism"), The Headie Berrie boasts a brother guitar duo whose intriguing interplay never gets stale, bolstering their boisterous brand of modern boogie rock with shards of straw-chewin' country and a dash of revolution rock a la Credence Clearwater Revival to smooth out this topsy-turvy tie-dyed tirade ("Souless Shoe")........ ” Mike (SOS) - Rough Edge: The Headie Berrie CD Review “(DISCLAIMER BEFORE ARTICLE: THE VINYL PLANE WAS FORMERLY THE HEADIE BERRIE) The Vinyl Plane

Location: New York, New York, USA Press Release:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: “Most Unusual Voice in Twenty Years” Debuts at Library at Lincoln Center
Singer Lovon makes his New York debut March 5th at the New York Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.
The ninety-minute performance begins at 6:00 p.m. and is free to the public.
“This is the most unusual and listenable voice I have heard in twenty years of producing artists,” says Kevin Johnston, partner and co-producer with Liz Herrera of The Plan A Project (www.theplanaproject.com).
Ms. Herrera adds, “You’ll be at once shocked and surprised. Listeners will ask themselves why no one has sung like this before.”
. Johnston says he didn’t know what to do with Lovon at first, but a week after hearing the singer at an audition, it hit him. “I knew this voice had a place in popular music, and I began to search for songs that would let him shine.”
According to Lovon Bond, who prefers to go by his first name only, every producer he had met in New York told him he was singing wrong. “When I met Johnston and Herrera at a Plan A Project audition, they began to seek ways to bring out my unusual way of singing instead of trying to change it.” The show at the Library for the Performing Arts differs from the just-released Lovon CD entitled, “Love On” in that the live presentation will feature guitar accompaniment only as Lovon sings.
“We want audiences to hear the purity of this voice,” says Johnston. “Being in the room with him when he sings startles you into submission. I’ve even put together one piece where he sings lead and background vocals at the same time.”
Here are the event details: “From Songwriting to Stardom,” Featuring vocals by Lovon. Monday, March 5, 2012, 6 - 7:30 p.m. Lincoln Center, in conjunction with
The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, 40 Lincoln Center Plaza.

OUT LIKE PLUTO

OUT LIKE PLUTO
Webpage: http://www.outlikepluto.com/
Location: Seattle, WA, USA Description:
Where Blink 182, Paramore and No Doubt meet, you’ll find the infectious energy of Out Like Pluto. The female-fronted, Seattle five-piece’s debut—Take Cover, is creating a stir with a unique blend of pop punk and 90’sinspired alt-rock. Biography:
Out Like Pluto is not here to revolutionize music, but they do want to make you dance. Have a listen to their full-length debut album or come out to a show, and it’ll be totally clear: These alt-pop rockers have a blast playing music, and all they want is to make sure their audience does too.
The female-fronted five-piece from Seattle, WA combines the energetic pop-punk stylings of Paramore and Blink-182 with the melodic nostalgia of 90s alternative rock like No Doubt, Garbage and Letters to Cleo. Out Like Pluto's musically diverse, but ultimately light-hearted, repertoire lends itself well to some shenanigans on stage. The band has a reputation in Seattle for delivering unique, engaging, and often hilarious shows. (On several occasions, Out Like Pluto has challenged its bill-mates to pop cover showdowns, for example.) After the now infamous “Ke$h-Off” of 2011, the venue’s sound technician remarked, “In all my years here, I’ve never seen anyone crowd surf in the Jewel Box Theater.” Mission accomplished.
Since 2009, Out Like Pluto has built a rapidly-growing fan base in the Pacific Northwest, and shared the stage with the likes of Nico Vega, Curt Smith (Tears For Fears), This Time Next Year, Hunter Valentine and The Broken Column. Reviewing a show from the early part of 2011, Seattle Subsonic commented: “Given the style and the pretty blond lead singer, the obvious comparison is to No Doubt, but No Doubt was bubble gum in comparison. Songs like “Are We There Yet?” (my favorite) show this well.... It made me wonder. If No Doubt can achieve success and fame, why not these guys?”
Out Like Pluto's debut full-length album, "Take Cover" was released on January 10, 2012. This energetic and eclectic full-length was recorded, mixed, and produced by Andy Tyra and mastered by Gavin Lurssen (All Time Low, Blink-182, Alien Ant Farm). Many of these tracks are already popular with the band’s live fan base, and “Take Cover’s” first single and music video, "Bridge," is attracting a lot of interest on YouTube.
The band was formed in Seattle in late 2009 by producer and drummer Andy Tyra and enigmatic microphone jockey Kari Tarr. Once they realized Andy had too few limbs to play every instrument live, they recruited guitarists (and index finger shredders) Mike Pesce and Ben Ahroni, along with the effervescent Aussie, Jeremy “I am not a convict” Hynoski to bring in the low frequencies. With their new album already receiving positive reviews and an aggressive touring schedule planned for early 2012, Out Like Pluto is pulling out all the stops to bring their own brand of upbeat fun to as much of this world as possible! Street Corner Renaissance

Street Corner Renaissance
Webpage: http://streetcornerrenaissance.com/
Location: LA, CA, USA Street Corner Renaissance
Biography:
Looking forward to the past, Street Corner Renaissance has defied the odds to do what many thought was either crazy or impossible. The group’s founder, Maurice Kitchen, was an accomplished but frustrated 25-year veteran of the insurance industry when he decided to quit his job and form a professional a cappella doo wop group with Torre Brannon Reese, a community youth advocate and founder of a successful mentoring program. They joined voices with Kwame Alexander, a former Seventh Day Adventist minister, Anthony (Tony) Snead, a legal assistant and Charles (Sonny) Banks, a committed golfer and city worker on the verge of retirement. These five distinguished gentlemen of song are now pursuing their dream, a dream they had deferred while dealing with life’s responsibilities. With a determined and changed mindset, their fantastic voyage has begun. "I just didn't want to die a claims adjuster." says Kitchen. "That couldn't have been the last thing on my resume."

Los Angeles-based Street Corner Renaissance offers a unique sound that has delighted audiences at venues throughout the country, including theaters, performing arts centers, elegant cruise lines, colleges and clubs. “We were honored to have been invited to participate in UCLA’s week-long Festival of African-American Music Symposium, right out of the gate,” said Kitchen, referring to a gig in the group’s early days. The festival was a comprehensive event hosted and produced by world-renowned guitarist Kenny Burrell. Street Corner Renaissance shared the stage with accomplished performers such as Nancy Wilson, George Duke, Patty Austin, Freda Payne, Linda Hopkins, Lalah Hathaway, Dianne Reeves, Gerald Wilson and Patrice Rushen, just to name a few. Following that debut they opened for the well-known a cappella group Take Six at Debbie Allen’s “Smile Festival” and performed on-air with the legendary Stevie Wonder and renowned poet Nikki Giovanni. “To start out performing with such a stellar lineup was all the encouragement we needed. We took it as a resounding endorsement that the music we’re committed to had a valid place in the broader cultural and musical landscape,” remarked group historian, Torre Brannon Reese.

If the group wasn’t convinced by the reception they received at the festival, then the overwhelming response they garnered for their debut recording “Meet Me on The Corner” removed all doubt. Then, in an unprecedented move, promoter Roland Betts invited them to perform at the prestigious “Jazz at Drew Festival.” They wowed the audience and made festival history as the first a cappella group to perform at the perennial event. In a bold show of support for their talent and their mission, Betts scheduled them to open on consecutive nights for the venerable Impressions and popular funk band Lakeside. Other acts on the bill included Hubert Laws, Jerry Butler, Sheila E., David T. Walker, The Mighty Clouds of Joy and other cross-genre luminaries. Street Corner Renaissance went on to open for such top acts as the legendary Chuck Berry, Kool and the Gang and the top-selling male R&B singing group of all time, Boyz II Men.

These gentlemen can flat out sing and their infectious energy and soulful voices transport their audiences to another space and time. Not just another singing group, Street Corner Renaissance intertwines themes of social and cultural awareness into their music, offering “food for the spirit as well as the soul.” Whether it’s a soul-stirring tribute to the legendary Sam Cooke, street corner crooning for the ladies, Black history-themed conscious music or a rousing gospel celebration, their superb vocal skills shine through. “We’ve closed the generation gap for vibrant baby boomers who dare to dream the impossible dream,” says Kitchen. “We want to be voice of a new revolution to reclaim our culture from the age of innocence and unbridled ambition. Hence our name, Street Corner ‘Renaissance.’” Street Corner Renaissance

Webpage: http://www.thinkdep.com/
Location: Los Angeles, Ca, USA Description:
R&B/Pop Singer Songwriter Actor with songs that are a colorful blend of rhythms and words - bobs heads, gyrates hips and stirs the affections of lovers DeP
Biography:
His voice as powerfully textured as the strongest espresso. His music - a colorful blend of rhythms and words - bobs heads, gyrates hips and stirs the affections of lovers. An entertainer of infinite talent, he is a high-powered singer/songwriter/actor worthy of his name: DeP.

For DeP (pronounced: deep), the path to stardom started amidst the church walls in Houston, TX. In the music industry, he has been able to sing background, open for and work with some of today’s top artist including Kim Burrell, Yolanda Adams, KC and JoJo, Brian McKnight, Scarface, James Fortune, Latimore and more. DeP made the decision to sing R&B music stating that just because he grew up in the church didn’t mean he didn’t get mad, hurt, experience love, sex, or pain and should have the right to sing about it all.

DeP’s devoted work ethic has birthed an impressive body of work: performances and writing credits for various affairs. In the acting realm, his talent has been showcased at premiere performing arts venues, including the renowned Ensemble Theater along side many growing talents including Solange Knowles, where he developed an extensive list of acting credits. His television appearances include BET’s 106 & Park, CBS, and TBN as well as commercials for Six Flags and Ford. A principle actor in Jill Scott Ft. Anthony Hamilton’s “So In Love” Video, a featured actor/model for the Apple App “Puzzle Bodies”, a cameo in the television show Decker Green and more! DeP has also graced the pages of various publications including VIBE magazine, Rolling Stone and Houston Press.
After building a solid reputation in Houston and his popular single “Something More”, DeP relocated to Washington DC (contract #1) then to New York City (contract #2) to advance his career among the industry’s movers and shakers. While in NYC, DeP joined a local group. While grateful for his experiences being a lead member in the R&B group, his heart was intent on solo success. “Being a solo artist ensures fewer boundaries, fights, and scapegoats…” he says, “The creative restraints of being in a group disappear.” DeP is now INDEPENDENTLY taking Los Angeles by storm.

Those creative chokeholds are currently being shattered with the arrival of new songs such as “Contract”, “DWI”, “Rough”, and “Keep Coming Back. DeP channels the essence of his fiery personality into his current songs, providing a kaleidoscope of grooves – from soul-tinged riffs to a funky fusion of R&B and rock. These songs are ripe with unabashed lyricism and explosive plays of party rhythms.

An innovator, he’s securely driven by his passions and underwritten by his music, charities, and dedication, unconventionally shedding carbon-copied images of an emotionally void, self-centered man. Naturally defining swag, he moves purposefully, understanding nothing is happenstance but in everything, something D?P.
